me in my black fuzzy slippers
and workout clothes
it's cold for having been warm
a makeshift fire is built
I ate crackers and shouldn't have
I'm sleepy and want to rest
thinking that it feels good to work
out
pondering life as one does some-
times
I'm awake
and now it's morning
coolness
leaves like new diamonds
green
I'm the easter bunny grandmom this year
speckled eggs around my door

I cross my legs around my ankles
wash my face clean
and think about the dream I had last night
Sun through a bamboo curtain approaches me
Listening I turn my attention to household
chores.

the little waterfall works again
when did I get older
